‘Kesari’ first look: Sardar Akshay Kumar shoots with Afghani kids

Akshay Kumar shares the picture of the first day of shoot of his upcoming film, ‘Kesari’, based on the battle of Saragarhi. The ‘Padman’ actor dons a sardar look and posed smiling with many kids playing Afghanis.

Sharing the picture from the set, Akshay Kumar wrote# "Innocent smiles galore on set today. Shooting with these lovely children playing Afghani kids in 'Kesari' based on the Battle of Saragarhi, one of the bravest battles fought in India," Akshay tweeted on Thursday without revealing the location. 

Our source says, “The drive to the location from Mumbai is nearly six-and-a-half hours. Since that would mean spending 13 hours in a car every day, Akshay has chosen a quicker mode of transport.”

For the first time Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar have joined hands for a production venture. Akshay Kumar will play the lead role in ‘Kesari’.

‘Kesari’ based on one of the bravest battle fought in India is scheduled to release in Holi 2019. The film will feature Parineeti Chopra in the female lead.
