Karisma Kapoor’s daughter Samaira’s film, ‘Be Happy’ was screened at the ongoing 19th International Children’s Film Festival of India (ICFFI). Karisma’s daughter Samaira made the short film which was selected for the screening in the biennial children’s film festival held in Hyderabad. Over the decade, Hyderabad has been regularly hosting the event.

Kareena Kapoor, Karisma along with their mom Babita arrived at the city and enthralled the audience. They were present at the inaugural function.

Kareena said that the international children's film festival is a platform for showcasing talent and to watch quality children's cinema. She further added that this edition of children's film festival was also special for her because Karisma's daughter's film was selected for screening.

"It's a lovely honour to have Samaira's short film selected for a festival screening. She is a keen filmmaker and films shorts around the house all the time. We are delighted and proud of her," beams mommy Karisma.

Maasi Kareen said before flying to Hyderabad, "I am very proud of my niece. She has the Kapoor filmmaking genes in her. We might just have the first female director in the family one day."

The event was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore last night.
