Kareena takes a dig at Deepika, Priyanka for venturing to West

Kareena Kapoor is back to her work post childbirth. The stylish actress gave birth to a boy, Taimur, with husband Saif Ali Khan on December 20, and is back in shape shedding the post-baby flab. The actress is gearing up for her small screen debut as the ‘Feel Alive’ Ambassador newly-launched factual entertainment channel Sony BBC Earth.

Speaking at a press conference during the launch of the channel recently, Kareena apparently took a dig at her contemporaries Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra.

When the ‘Ki & Ka’ actress was asked if an actor’s brand value increases after working in Hollywood, she said, "Working abroad doesn't mean anything. If one works abroad and comes back and gets a salary hike is something I don't know.”

“It doesn't matter whether you work in Hollywood or Bollywood, your brand value is based on what and how much you deliver. And this is based on your personality. Brand is all about personality,” Kareena added.

Although she did not take names, considering the fact that Deepika and Priyanka are the latest B-towners to have ventured to the West, Kareena’s remark appears as an indirect jibe at the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actors.

Deepika recently made her Hollywood debut with Vin Diesel-starrer ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’ that released in January. Priyanka, who is already ruling the American television circuit with her thriller series ‘Quantico’, will make her Hollywood debut with ‘Baywatch’, starring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. The movie is slated to hit theatres on May 26.
