Kareena Kapoor to write a book on pregnancy & childbirth myths

From stylishly flaunting her baby bump and frequent outings with her friends, days before childbirth, Kareena Kapoor showed everyone how pregnancy should be enjoyed in its full glory. And within 45 days of giving birth to son Taimur, the gorgeous lady was back to work, walking the ramp and shooting for commercials.

Kareena lived through her pregnancy phase on her own terms shattering every stereotype, inspiring moms-to-be and new mothers. Now, the yummy mummy is set to turn an author and write a book about myths surrounding pregnancy and childbirth. Reportedly, Kareena has been approached by two leading publishers to write a book on her journey to motherhood.

A source close to the actress was quoted by a popular publication as saying, “The offers came in last month and she (Kareena) is giving it serious thought. While she believes writing requires dedication, she wants her thoughts to reach people far and wide. In the glam world, pregnancy is equated to a disease and an actress’ career is considered over once she has a baby. Her book will attack the stigma around pregnancy and how she was able to shatter the so-called norms.”

Kareena has worked very hard along with dietician Rijuta Diwekar to lead a healthy life during her pregnancy phase. Her pregnancy diet and work-out regimen for post-pregnancy weight loss, will also form for a major part of the book. As per the report, a chapter will also be dedicated on the controversy that erupted after Saif Ali Khan and Kareena named their son Taimur.

On the work front, Kareena will be next starring alongside Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhaskar upcoming chick-flick ‘Veerey De Wedding’, being produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor.
