Kareena Kapoor gorges on sarson ka saag, makki ki roti with butter

Kareena Kapoor Khan is currently in Punjab shooting for ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ and her nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar has recently shared an Instagram post featuring the actress eating makki roti with sarson ka saag for dinner.

Sharing the picture of Kareena Kapoor Khan eating Punjab’s delicacies, Rujuta Diwekar wrote, "Every region has its own tradition of celebrating its seasonal produce using timeless, heritage recipes. And I strongly believe that one should follow a diet that respects that versus that which makes you feel like you have "cheated" if you eat a home cooked delicacy”.

"Health is not a size," says Rujuta, "It's a state. A state of harmony, in the mind and body and between people and planet. And really, all you need to do for that is to keep calm and eat makhan-roti-saag."

"The makhan, saag and roti and the quantities in the picture do not depict how much she eats. The pic is taken after most of it is in her stomach. Eat as per your hunger, not as per a fixed measure," Rujuta alerts her readers.

The picture has over 25000 ‘likes’ and  Kareena’s sister, Karisma Kapoor left a drooling emoji in the comments section.

Talking about it in an interview, Kareena said, “Because knowing the way that he (Aamir) is, I think he wanted to be like 100% sure. So very randomly, out of the blue, I got a call from Aamir. ‘I want you to hear this film, this and that and I am very excited about it.’ So it just happened very organically. I heard the script like just then the minute he called me and he was just like let’s read some scenes. I want you to read some scenes. So I was like yeah, I have never done something like this. I thought like what the hell. I want to see myself if I want to do this or not and you know there is nothing wrong in that,” she said.

Directed by Advait Chandan, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ will go on floor in November and is slated for release on Christmas, 2020.
