Karan Johar replaces Kapil Sharma as ‘Comedy Nights..’ host

As per the latest buzz, ace filmmaker Karan Johar is most likely to replace Kapil Sharma as the new ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ host. The makers of the popular comic show refute the rumor about Comedy Nights to go off air due to Kapil’s poor health. The TV channel will continue the show, which rides high on TRP with a proper replacement. Kapil suffers from back injury and he is not likely to continue the show. The names of four well-known personalities, who will replace Kapil and Karan Johar is one of them.

An insider says, "Kapil suffered a slip disc while working out in the gym for Abbas Mustan's film. He has gone to Van Couver for his treatment and will rest for almost a month after returning to Mumbai. The channel was contemplating if the other characters on Comedy Nights should also be given a break while they work out a fresh concept for the show. However, they eventually decided to run it with the current characters and rope in four big names as hosts."

The channel is figuring out good replacement of the show so that the new host might keep up the tempo of the show. in Kapil's absence. The last episode was shot by Kapil with Salman Khan. "The channel has decided to let each celebrity host one episode each. So far, only Karan has been finalised," the source adds.

Kapil Sharma tweeted, "The bestest episode with one n only @BeingSalmanKhan forget to watch at ur own risk."

Kapil took to Twitter to share the news with his followers. "Hello friends. Hope All well... But I am not well.. Advised for bed rest... Shooting last episode with @BeingSalmanKhan coming back soon," he wrote.
