Karan Johar poses with Hollywood legend George Clooney at WEF


Filmmaker Karan Johar is currently in Switzerland to attend the 47th World Economic Forum in Davos. The ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ maker had a fanboy moment when he bumped into legendary Hollywood actor-filmmaker George Clooney.

Karan posed with the Handsome star and shared the image on social media with the tweet, “Totally Clooed into #Davos.” George and his wife Amal Clooney, a lawyer-cum-activist, attended the Women of Impact dinner hosted by publisher Tina Brown, where Karan got a chance to meet the ‘Tomorrowland’ actor.    

The World Economic Forum is an annual event where some of the world’s most influential business, political and cultural leaders come together to network and attend several sessions. Karan has been invited as a cultural leader to the event which will end on January 20. Previously, Amitabh Bachchan, A R Rahman and classical dancer Mallika Sarabhai also attended the event.

"I am honoured to be invited as one of the cultural leaders on this prolific platform. Representing my country and reflecting my ethos and the sentiments of my land on a global level is always exhilarating and empowering. Also, it's a solid meeting ground of minds and personalities, which I am looking forward to engulf and experience fully," Karan had earlier said in a statement.

Karan was in news in recently for his biography ‘An Unsuitable Boy’, in which he has revealed his deepest and darkest secrets. Co-authored by him and Poonam Saxena, the book was launched by Karan’s friend superstar Shah Rukh Khan at an event in Mumbai on January 16.
