Karan Johar meets Neetu-Rishi in New York, gives them a tight hug


Filmmaker Karan Johar visited Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor in New York and spend some quality time with them. The filmmaker met the charming couple after a long gap and to fill up the emptiness, Karan gave them the tightest hug.

Karan shared a picture with Neetu and Rishi Kapoor on his Instagram account. He also penned an emotional note for them. He wrote, "My absolutely favourite couple of Indian cinema....I grew up loving them and am so privileged to know them....strong...resilient and full of positivity! @neetu54 and chintuji are absolutely amazing and so full of love!! Thank you for your energy! Love you!!!"

Neetu Kapoor also took to Instagram to thank Karan for his visit. She wrote, "He gave the tightestttt Hug and the longesttt kiss n said half of this love is from his mom Hiroo sometimes simple words mean so big love love him #karanjohar #fulloflove#lotsoffun."

In the past eight months in New York, several Bollywood stars visited the couple in New York. Lately, Mukesh and Tina Ambani paid a visit. Deepika Padukone, Shahrukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Sonali Bendre with husband Goldie Behl was among others to meet the couple in New York.

Rishi Kapoor opened up about his treatment. "My eighth month of treatment started on May 1 in the US. But God has been kind! I am in remission, meaning now I am cancer-free," he told a daily.

He added, "I will have to do a bone-marrow transplant which in all probability should take another two months minimum." However, Rishi says he is very upbeat and is looking forward to returning home. He said, "Being in remission is a big thing and it’s all because of my family and my fans prayers and duas that have worked. I thank them all."
