Karan Johar gets nostalgic about ‘Student of The Year’

Karan Johar felt nostalgic as his movie ‘Student of The Year’ completed two years on Sunday. The romantic comedy ‘Student of the Year’ launched Alia Bhat, Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra in 2012. It was a great success at the box office and the viewers appreciated the effort of the new comers and the commendable direction.

The 42 year old director, Karan, shared a poster of the movie on Twitter to celebrate and cherish the movie that marked its two years. The film also casted Ronit Roy, Rishi Kapoor, Sana Saeed, Farida Jalal and Ram Kapoor. The guest appearances witnessed in the film are that of Kajol, Farah Khan, Boman Irani and Vaibhavi Merchant.

Karan embarked on his film career with the movie ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ that fetched him the limelight. It did set a milestone for Shahrukh Khan and Kajol as well. The director holds the movie very close to his heart. ‘Student of the Year’ acts like a De Ja Vu of KKHT. As the same thing happened after more than a decade. He launched the actors and Alia who are much sought-after and are basking in the glory of stardom, post the movie’s hit. Like Kajol, who is a bosom friend to Karan, Alia also claims to count on Karan more than her father when it comes to taking any major decision
