Karan Johar gets a nostalgic surprise from Shekhar Kapur

Karan Johar was delighted and became nostalgic when filmmaker Shekhar Kapur surprised him with an old photograph of Karan’s dad Yash Johar with the legendary martial artist-cum-action star Bruce Lee and American actor James Coburn.

Shekhar Kapoor shared the black-and-white picture on Twitter and wrote, “Hi @karanjohar. Was going thru archives in research for my film on Bruce Lee. Look what I found! A Pic of ur Dad with James Coburn and Bruce.”

The picture seems to have been clicked during a road trip as Yash Johar, Coburn, Lee and another person with is back are standing on a road beside a car with its dicky open.

Karan, who has been very close to his father, was extremely thrilled and thanked the ‘Bandit Queen’ director for sharing the picture. He tweeted, "OMG! That's amazing!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this @shekharkapur." The 45-year-old filmmaker also posted the throwback picture on his Instagram page and wrote, “My father and Bruce lee in one image!! Never thought i would see this visual! Thanks #shekharkapur.”

Yash Johar was one of India’s celebrated filmmakers, who passed away in 2004. He had produced films like ‘Dostana’, ‘Agneepath’ and ‘Duplicate’ and was the founder of county’s top production house Dharma Productions, currently run by his son Karan and wife Hiroo Johar.

It wasn’t just Karan who was delighted with the picture. Actor Anil Kapoor, who starred in Shekhar Kapur’s sci-fi ‘Mr India’, also commented on the picture and tweeted, “This picture has so much history & genius in it! Yashji is a legend & one of the most humble & kind people I've ever met! @karanjohar
