Kapil’s bride in his debut film is a Marathi debutante

Comedian Kapil Sharma’s popular show ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ is a major platform for filmmakers and stars to promote their film. Kapil in his trademark humour is often seen asking his guests if they have ever dreamt of being on his show. But, actress Sai Lokur has gone a step further and is making her Bollywood debut with Kapil.

The Marathi actress will debut as one of Kapil’s wives in ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’ directed by Abbas-Mustan, which is the comedian’s debut film as well.

"I met Abbas-Mustan through a common friend and was lucky to have met them at the right time as they were casting for this film. They liked me and offered me the role," Sai was quoted by The Times of India on how she landed the role.

Speaking about her co-star Sai said, "Kapil is as good a comic offscreen as he is onscreen. Moreover, he is so spontaneous that I used to be clueless about my lines during the initial days of the shooting. With every take, he would implement something new.”

It was a great experience working with the entire team, said the actress who has appeared in Marathi films like ‘Jarab’, ‘Parambi’, ‘Platform’ etc. She has been approached for some more Hindi projects but is taking her time. "Everything depends on my debut. I am concentrating on that right now," she said.

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’ also features Elli Avram, Manjari Phadnis, Simran Kaur Mundi, Arbaaz Khan and Varun Sharma. Arbaaz plays the role of Sai’s brother in the film. Supriya Pathak, Sharat Saxena and Johnny Lever’s daughter Jamie Lever also appear in the movie.

‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’ is slated to hit screens on September 25.
