After suffering from slip disc, he was advised bed rest for three weeks. He has taken a break from ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ due to his ill-health and in his absence Arshad Warsi and Sajid Khan took the charge of ‘Comedy Nights..’.

Kapil had even tweeted, ''Hello friends. Hope All well .. But am not well.. advised for bed rest... Shooting last episode with @BeingSalmanKhan, coming back soon.''

Kapil Sharma along with his comedy nights team headed to Hamilton for the stage performance. Kapil is happy to see the response. Recently, Kapil posted pictures of his performance alongwith his Comedy Nights team at Hamilton and tweeted, "Feeling blessed...12 thousand people in Hamilton.. Can't believe .. Stay happy."

Kapil wanted ‘Comedy Nights ...to go off-air since he has live shows lined up in USA and Canada but the show continued with different hosts.

Kapil Sharma is also busy with his Bollywood debut Abbas-Mustan's ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’, which is slated to release on September 25.
