Kanti Shah making film on Sheena Bora case; to release in October

The sensational murder case of Sheena Bora is a worthy plot for a crime thriller and it has grabbed the attention of filmmakers. While Mahesh Bhatt revealed that he has a similar script, Rakhi Sawant who is working on a film titled ‘Ek Kahaani Julie Ki’ which apparently revolves around the life of the prime accused in the case Indrani Mukerjea, mother of Sheena Bora.

But it appears that filmmaker Kanti Shah turned out to be the quickest of them to come up with film on the sensational crime.

Kanti Shah, the maker of many a B and C grade Horror and adult movies has reportedly begun shooting for the film and has titled it ‘Sheena Murder Case’. The film is set to release next month, in October itself.

“Kanti Shah has sprinted ahead big time and put together his account on one of the most sensational murder cases. He is using all the material in hand and is making Sheena Murder Case as a quickie,” an entertainment website quoted a source as saying.

Bollywood producer-director and film editor Shirish Kunder took to Twitter to share the poster of the movie with his fans. He wrote, “Lo kar lo baat” along with the poster.

The poster comes with a punchline ‘Maa Ne Beti Ko Kyon Maara?’ written in Hindi. Placeholder picture-cards of her four alleged husbands are also displayed in the poster. The visuals of the forest, where the murdered girl was buried, as well as the role of driver in the crime saga, also find a mention.

The source confirmed that Kanti Shah’s wife Sapna plays the role of Indrani Mukerjea in the film. "Yes, she is playing the part of Indrani.  Shah is in fact sticking to the real names and is calling a spade a spade," the source added.

"The film is being promoted as 'India's Most Twisted Murder Mystery. The film is catering to B and C market but with minimum costs and hottest theme,” according to the source.
