Kangana Ranaut to star opposite Salman Khan in ‘Sultan’

Actress Kangana Ranaut, whose latest film ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ was a smashing hit emerging as the biggest grosser of 2015, will share screen space with blockbuster star Salman Khan.

The ‘Queen’ actress has so far never worked with any of the Khan superstars – Aamir, Salman and Shah Rukh.

It is revealed that she will star opposite Salman in his upcoming film ‘Sultan’ by India’s biggest production house Yash Raj Films.

The news was shared on twitter by Kiaara Sandhu, Editor of Indian Cinema magazine in the UK and UAE. “Officially Confirmed..!! King of Masses @BeingSalmanKhan will do Romance with #KanganaRanaut in #Sultan. RT Now fans,” she posted.

It is also rumored that Kangana will be playing a role in Aamir Khan’s film ‘Dangal’.

‘Sultan’, to be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, will see the ‘Dabangg’ star in the role of a 40-year-old boxer. He is said to be undergoing a strict physical training for the role in between his tightly packed scheduled.

“It would entail many months of a strict exercise regime and a new diet control so he can acquire a boxer's body. With his heavy commitments, Salman is not sure how he will be able to give ‘Sultan’ the time, attention and single-minded focus it requires,” a source was quoted as saying earlier.

It was earlier reported that Deepika Padukone was cast in the film, but during a press conference of her latest movie ‘Piku’, the leggy actress cleared the airs saying she was not working for the film.

‘Sultan’ is scheduled to release on Eid next year.

Meanwhile, Salman is gearing up for his next release ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ directed by Kabir Khan. The film is scheduled to release on July 17.
