Kangana Ranaut enters into ugly spat with a journo, media boycotts her

Bold and outspoken Kangana Ranaut during the promotion of her upcoming film, ‘Judgemental Hai Kya’ gets into an ugly spat with a journalist. The ‘Queen’ actress was accompanied by the producer of the film Ekta Kapoor and actor Rajkummar Rao.

Kangana had a heated exchange with a journo for running a smear campaign against her and slamming her film, ‘Manikarnika-The Queen of Jhansi’.

"Have I made a mistake by making a film?" She further said, ''You are calling me a jingoistic person for making a film on nationalism.'' – Kangana Ranaut asked the reporter.

For quite a long time, Kangana and the journo had an exchange of words. Both refused to calm down. Later, Ekta Kapoor issued an apology for Sunday event.

The journalist accepted Ekta Kapoor’s apology but they continue to ban Kangana.

The Entertainment Journalists' Guild of India has now accepted the apology by Balaji Motion Pictures but has said that they will continue the ban on Kangana Ranaut.

Their statement read, "The Entertainment Journalists Guild appreciates Ms Ekta Kapoor's support and standing for what is right through her official statement. However, we will continue the ban on Ms Kangana Ranaut across all media platforms."

The Entertainment Journalists' Guild of India said in their statement, "We, as a guild, have collectively decided to boycott Ms Ranaut and not give her any media coverage," the delegation said in its letter to Kapoor, adding that the boycott will not affect the film or the rest of the cast.

Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chandel said on Twitter that the actor will not apologise.

"Ek baat ka main vaada karti hoon, Kangana se apology toh nahin milegi, in bikau, nange, deshdrohi, desh ke dalal, libtard mediawalon ko, magar woh tumko dho dho kar sidha zaroor karegi ... just wait and watch, tumne galat insaan se maafi mangi hai ...," she tweeted and described the journalists as anti-national.
