Kangana not playing Manyata in Sanjay Dutt biopic

Versatile actress Kangana Ranaut denied the report of starring in Sanjay Dutt biopic. Kangana confirmed that she is not playing the role of Manyata in Sanjay’s biopic and wished the team all the very best.

News was floating that Kangana Ranaut or Deeepika Padukone might grab the coveted role but the ‘Queen’ actress clarified that she is not doing the film. Kangana has finally broken her silence on the issue. She told a leading online portal, “I don’t want to be disrespectful to Raju sir, but the truth is I have not been been approached for this film. I am busy on Rangoon at the moment.”

Titled ‘Dutt’ and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Ranbir Kapoor will step into the role of Sanjay Dutt. Ranbir had to build up muscles for the role. The biopic will go on floor as soon as Ranbir wrapped up his current projects. The biopic will give an insight of Sanjay’s different facets of life, personal and well as professional life.

The rumour of Kangana starring in Sanjay Dutt biopic fuelled when she was spotted walking out of Rajkumar Hirani’s house a few months backs.

Speaking about choosing Ranbir for the role, the director had earlier said, “Ranbir is a great actor. And I am sure he will be able to do full justice to the role. For the film, he wants to put on weight, so that he can take up the journey (of the character) effectively.”
