Kamal Haasan's elder brother Chandrahasan dies in London


Southern superstar Kamal Haasan's elder brother Chandrahasan, who was a producer breathed his last at his residence in London on Friday. He was 82. His wife Geethamani passed away in January this year at the age of 73. Chandrahasan had cardiac arrest.

Kamal has two elder brothers – Charuhasan and Chandrahasan. The actor shares a great bond with his two brothers. Chandrahasan was the executive producer at the Raaj Kamal International banner. He handled the production of films like Virumandi, Vishwaroopam, Thoongavanam among others. Candrahasan was a lawyer by profession and he was a big strength of his younger brother Kamal during ‘Vishwaroopam’ row.

Kamal had once said, that without the guidance of his brother Chandrahasan he won't be able to make quality movies under the Raaj Kamal International.

Chandrahasan’s daughter Anu Hasan is a popular actor and TV host. The details of his last rites and cremation are not yet known.

On the work front, Kamal Haasan's trilingual comedy ‘Sabash Naidu’ has been postponed for an indefinite period. Haasan's will be next seen in ‘Vishwaroopam 2’, slated to release this year end.
