Tensed Kajol leaves sister Tanishaa's play midway

Bollywood actress Kajol is making headlines for her upcoming film ‘Dilwale’ which will see her reunite on-screen with her old friend and co-star Shah Rukh Khan after a gap of five years.

The actress who usually keeps away from media was interacting with the press after a long time at her sister Tanishaa Mukherjee’s play ‘The Jury’. Suddenly, her phone started ringing. She took the call and after talking, seemed a bit disturbed. She apologised to the newspersons for having to leave the event immediately.

The ‘Fanaa’ actress looked very anxious as she called for her driver and asked him to rush back to the car. She even asked him to move away from the driver’s seat and took the wheels herself and drove away. It is not known who was on the line or what the call was about.

Meanwhile, regarding her sister’s play, Kajol said, “Absolutely I’m very excited. I think she’s going to be fantastic. I’ve also seen her first play, and she was awesome in it and I’m definitely looking forward to it,” she told media persons. She had come to lend her support to the play, directed by Divya Palat.

“I think theatre is a fantastic platform for an actor. It’s one of the few places where if you’re an avid actor, you can showcase your skills,” Kajol said about the numerous film actors trying their hand at theatre.

Kajol and Tanishaa’s mother Tanuja, actors Juhi Chawla, Lara Dutta and her tennis star husband Mahesh Bhupati, cricketers Ajit Agarkar and Zaheer Khan, Mohnish Bahl, Madhoo Shah were some of the other celebrities present at the play.

Kajol and Shah Rukh’s ‘Dilwale’ is directed by Rohit Shetty. It also stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Shanon and is slated to release on December 18.
