Kajol breaks her silence about fall-out with Karan Johar

Filmmaker Karan Johar and Kajol are no longer friends. In his biography, ‘An Unsuitable Boy’, Karan spoke about his fall-out with his lucky mascot. The biggest fall-out between the two thick friends came into forefront when the Ajay Devgn accused Karan of paying Rs 25 lakhs to damage his film, ‘Shivaay’. ‘Shivaay’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ box-office clash brought an end to Kajol and Karan Johar’s friendship.

Karan said that he is deeply hurt when Kajol took the side of his husband without making an effort to know the truth. Now, Kajol has also opened up about the whole incident. During an event, she finally told reporters, "I think relationships are generally difficult, nothing to do with Bollywood, but wouldn’t like to comment anything on what happened with Karan (Johar)."

In his autobiography, An Unsuitable Boy, Karan Johar writes, “He (Ajay) called me and shouted at me and said some really nasty things because he heard at a party that I said some things about his wife. I just felt that hearsay cannot be the reason for anyone to pick up the phone and say unsavoury things to anyone else. You have to give me the chance to defend myself.”

He added, “He put out a statement saying there should be an investigation and she re-tweeted it saying ‘SHOCKING’. And that was it. I felt she should not have allowed her husband to say such things about me and even if he had, she shouldn’t have endorsed and thirdly she should have picked up the phone and called me and said sorry for that entire situation. I did like to say and I stand by it is that this is not a phase, a feeling that will change. No matter what, she’s out of my life.

Karan Johar directed Kajol in blockbuster movies like ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ and ‘My Name is Khan’. Karan considered Kajol as his lucky mascot but there friendship is a history now.
