Kajal Aggarwal opens up on manager's arrest in drug case

In the high-profile drug racket case, Kajal Aggarwal’s manager Puttkar Ronson Joseph was arrested by the Telangana Prohibition and Excise Department. The southern actress is taken aback with this incident and cleared her stance on the matter that she does not share any personal relationship with her manager.

During the search, the department found ganja (cannabis) from Joseph’s house. So far 19 persons were arrested, including Joseph, in connection with the illegal drug trade.

Kajal issued her statement on Twitter saying that she doesn't support this behaviour. "I am absolutely shocked and appalled about his whole incident with Ronnie. I am in zero support of this and any behaviour that is detrimental to the hygiene of our society. Having said that, just because I care for people who run errands for me does not imply that I can control their personal lives/ choices.

"My parents have always managed my career and with everyone else from my industry, I share an extremely professional/ cordial relationship. I'm unaware of their whereabouts and activities once their professional duties with regards to me are completed," she said in the tweet.

Lately, actor Telugu actor Pallapollu Navdeep was grilled by the SIT officials and co-incidentally, Joseph’s arrest came a day after Navdeep’s questioning. It is unclear whether Joseph was arrested on the basis of Navdeep’s information.

Telugu actor Pallapollu Navdeep was the third actor after Tarun Kumar and P Subbaraju to be quizzed by the SIT officials.

Popular director Puri Jagannadh, cinematographer Shyam K Naidu, actors Tarun, Navadeep, P Subbaraju have been questioned by the SIT officials in the last few days. Actor Ravi Teja, Charmee Kaur, Mumaith Khan, Ananda Krishna Nandu, art director Chinna N Dharmarao among others will face the SIT officials questioning this week. The officials are also collecting the samples of hair, blood and nail for forensic examination from these celebrities.

After the drug racket was bust, notices are issued to several schools, colleges, hotels, bars and pubs, and even courier services to take special look-out. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has asked the investigative department to conduct a detailed investigation and asked to take strict action against those found guilty.
