Kajal Aggarwal is thrilled to work with Akshay

Kajal Aggarwal made her Bollywood debut with the super successful film “Singham” that starred Ajay Devgn and was directed by Rohit Shetty. The film ruled at the box-office and thus Kajal Aggarwal also was noticed for her work.

The actress recently got the chance of working in the film “Special Chabbis” with Akshay Kumar. She thus made it known that she had always been his huge fan.

She announced, "It was a great experience working with Akshay Kumar I have been a huge fan of his and I learnt a lot too".

Kajal plays the female lead in the film. Her character is that of a school teacher who gets emotionally entangled with Akshay. The film has been directed by Neeraj Pandey who directed the highly acclaimed “A Wednesday”.

Even the film’s director spoke at length about Akshay at an interview. He said, “I waited three years to work with him. It's great working with him and I'm glad he accepted. We found common ground. With Special Chabbis, Akshay's image will be that of an anti hero, something he's not really done before.” He also added, “Akshay's got an ability to listen, which is a rarity. Here, people are talking all the time. He has an immense sense of discipline. Working with him is special."

The film is based on the notorious conman Mithliesh Kumar Srivastava codenamed Natwarlal. The film will show the famous jewelry heist that occurred in Mumbai in 1987. The heist was headed by Natwarlal and his men who posed as CBI officials and robbed a jewelry store.

The film has 26 male characters with Kajal being the only female in the lot. It has some famous and talented actors such as Anupam Kher, Jimmy Shergill and Manoj Bajpai.

She divulged about her character in the film saying, “It was a wonderful experience playing a teacher. I was always very notorious in my school and college days for giving my teachers a hard time. It was fun walking in their shoes for a bit. Kudos to them!”

She added, "My role in `Special Chabbis` is quite contrary to how I am as a person so it was something different. Also since the movie is set in the early 80`s, I have worn a lot of simple Indian clothes.

Her last work in a film was in the Tamil original “Thuppakki”, which is now being remade in Hindi with Akshay and Sonakshi.
