Kailash Kher to perform live for PM Modi in the US


Popular Indian singer Kailash Kher with his band Kailasa is all set to perform live before Prime Minister Narendra Modi and enthral thousands of audience in the US.

The Indian Premier will be attending a community reception hosted in his honour at the SAP Centre, San Jose, California where the sufi singer will entertain the guests with his songs on September 27.

Ahead of his performance, the 42-year-old singer in a video message said, "Hi Bay Area-Silicon Valley... This is Kailash Kher, once again, amongst you. And I'm coming with my band for the Community Reception!"

Kailash is proud to get the opportunity. He tweeted, “Proud moment #Kailasa live in concert at PM Narendra Modi in Silicon Valley.”

He also shared a poster on his Twitter handle which read, “Kailash Kher to perform at SAP Center for PM Narendra Modi community reception Sunday, September 27 San Jose”.

“Meeting my favourite PM @narendramodi @PMOIndia in #SiliconValley #Kailasa #Music #Passion come together,” The ‘Teri Deewani’ singer posted along with the poster.

He also tweeted about what songs he will be performing: “Songs from #Kailasa Albums and #Bahubali all Are going to be part of our set line up on stage in #Sap Center San...”

Kailash is one of the brand ambassadors nominated by Modi for his ‘Clean India campaign’.

The rock singer, whose music style is influenced by Indian folk music, has sung over 5,000 songs for Bollywood.  Along with his band Kailasa, he has performed in more than 1000 concerts globally over the past ten years.

The Prime Minister who left for his week-long tour to UK and US on September 23, spent Wednesday in Ireland and left for New York the same evening for the US leg of his tour. He will be in the US till September 29.
