Kabir Khan denies offering 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' to Aamir

There were reports that the role played by Salman Khan in ‘Bajrangi Baijaan’ was first offered to Aamir Khan who suggested the former’s name. However, the movie’s director Kabir Khan has brushed aside the reports.

Speaking at an event, the filmmaker said he had never offered the role of Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi to Aamir. “I have never gone with the script of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ to Aamir,” said Kabir, according to a report in pinkvilla.com.

‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ which also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and child actress Harshaali Malhotra has broken several records at the box office and even took over Aamir’s ‘PK’ to become the highest grossing Bollywood film.

Earlier reports suggested that the film’s writer K V Vijayendra Prasad first approached Aamir with the script who felt it was too political and asked for some changes. But the writer did not want to make changes and so he approached Hrithik Roshan. However, the Vijayendra was not happy with the price quoted by the actor.

In the meantime, Salman heard about the script and loved the concept, and immediately accepted it.
