Kabir Khan confirms Shah Rukh’s role in Salman’s ‘Tubelight’
Director Kabir Khan has finally confirmed about Shah Rukh Khan’s role in his film ‘Tubelight’ starring Salman Khan. The filmmaker ended the speculations, by confirming it with an Instagram post that the ‘Karan Arjun’ co-stars are indeed coming together for a movie.
Kabir posted a call sheet with the popular dialogue from the 1995 iconic film which read, “Aayenge, Mere Karan Arjun aayenge, zameen ki chaati phad ke aayenge, aasmaan ka seena cheer ke aayenge." He captioned the image, “Call sheet for the day Karan Arjun got back after 20 yrs SK & SRK #tubelight #eid2017.”
Salman and Shah Rukh last worked together in ‘Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam’, which released in May, 2002. The two superstars, who reconciled two years ago after their infamous fall out at a party, shared screen for the first time on Salman’s show ‘Bigg Boss 9’ last year. Shah Rukh will once again appear on the reality show to promote his upcoming film ‘Raees’.
The excitement level for ‘Tubelight’ and gone up many folds with the confirmation, as fans’ wish to see Shah Rukh and Salman share the big screen again, has been fulfilled. Reportedly, Shah Rukh will be playing a cameo role of a magician and will be sporting a tattoo on his face.
Salman and Kabir have teamed up for the third time for ‘Tubelight’, after their blockbusters ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. The movie is set in the backdrop of Sino-Indo War of 1962, where Salman will play a soldier. It also stars Chinese actress Zhu Zhu.
‘Tubelight’ is scheduled to release in June this year on the occasion of Eid.
