Kaabil vs Raees: Salman wishes SRK, Hrithik with old pic of the trio

With days inching closer towards the first big clash of Bollywood between Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ and Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Kaabil’, superstar Salman Khan became nostalgic.

The ‘Sultan’ actor on Sunday, shared an old picture of him with Shah Rukh and Hrithik from the sets of the 1995 film ‘Karan Arjun’, while wishing luck to them for their respective films. He thanked the film’s director Rakesh Roshan for the iconic film which has completed 22 years. Salman also congratulated Hrithik for the completion of 17 years of his debut film ‘Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai’. Interestingly, both the films released at the same time of the year – ‘Karan Arjun’ released on January 13, 1995, while Hrithik’s debut ‘KNPH’ hit screens on January 14 2000.

The black-and-white photograph has a lanky Hrithik posing between the two Khans, with Salman’s hand on his shoulder. “Thanx rakeshji 4 giving @iamsrk n me #21yearsofKaranArjun, Congrats duggu on #17YearsOfKNPH @iHrithik. Best of luck Raees & Kaabil 25Jan,” Salman tweeted with the picture.

Produced and directed by Rakesh Roshan, ‘Karan Arjun’ was about the reincarnation of two brothers, played by Salman and Shah Rukh, to avenge their father’s death. Rakhee played their mother in the film which became the second highest grosser of that year. Hrithik also bagged two Filmfare trophies for Best Actor and Best Male Debut for the blockbuster ‘KNPH’, which was the highest Bollywood grosser of the year.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh will reunite with Salman on the latter’s reality show ‘Bigg Boss 10’ to promote ‘Raees’. There is also buzz that he will make a cameo appearance in Salman’s film ‘Tubelight’.

‘Raees’ and ‘Kaabil’ are slated to hit screens on January 25.
