<a href='//www.bollywoodmantra.com/celebrity/jimmy-shergill/' title='Jimmy Shergill' class='article_display_tag' data-id='jimmy-shergill' id='article_tag_data_jimmy-shergill' style='display: inline-block;'><strong>Jimmy Shergill</strong></a>Born in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, and bought up in Punjab, Jasjit Shergill, better known as Jimmy Shergill to Bollywood buffs, is happy playing a perfect father in real life these days, to his month-old son Veer. On screen, of course, the actor is gearing up for an...
...adrenaline rush: he is all set to fight it out as Siddharth Singh, a fighter pilot in his forthcoming film, Agnipankh.

While shooting for Agnipankh, the most exciting bit for Jimmy was visiting the various airbases. “Besides flying the MIG 21, I just loved the airbases – especially the ones at Pune and Kashmir,” recalls Jimmy, while unwinding at Crave in Gurgaon’s Sahara Mall recently.

Jimmy is married to Delhi girl Priyanka who he met through common friends. With a shy smile, he tells you how he dated for five years before tying the knot.

What does he enjoy most in life? “The constant fight to strike the perfect balance between personal and professional life. The drive to work is very important, yet nothing can replace the time that I spend with my son,” he says.

He has come a long way since his first release Maachis but sadly he is one actor who hasn’t got his due in the film industry. “Of course I feel bad when my films don’t do well but I guess there are lots of reasons for a film’s failure beyond my performance,” says Jimmy.

His future projects include Charas, co-starring Uday Chopra, Irrfan Khan and Namrata Shirodkar. He plays an army officer in the film directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, with whom he earlier worked in Haasil. “I am now selective about roles. The only thing that I feel is imperative is the script besides, of course, the director,” he sums up.

Sure, he has his priorities right as an actor.
