Judgement in Salman’s illegal arms act case today

A Jodhpur court will today pronounce the judgement on Salman Khan’s possession and use of illegal arms. "The case relates to both possession and use of illegal arms and the chief judicial magistrate's court has kept Feb 25 for judgment," public prosecutor N.K. Sankhla of the court in Jodhpur, 330 km from Rajasthan capital Jaipur, told IANS Tuesday.

The final arguments completed on February 5th and today the final judgement will come out. The superstar is likely to present in the court today during the final judgement. Fans are keeping their fingers crossed.

Way back in October, 1998, the 49-year-old actor is accused of hunting and killing the endangered spices, blackbuck while shooting for the film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ in Rajasthan.

Two blackbucks, protected under the Wildlife Protection Act, were killed on the outskirts of Kankani village near Jodhpur by the superstar.

Salman Khan was also accused of carrying and using illegal arms. Salman who is currently out on bail is also alleged to have been carrying arms with expired license. His rifle and revolver were seized by the court when he was first accused in the poaching case.

Salman’s ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam were also pronounced in the court several times. The actor already spent time in the Jodhpur jail twice in connection to the case, in 1998 and again in 2007.
