‘Jolly LLB 2’ shoot begins; Akshay Kumar shares his first look
Akshay Kumar who will be next seen in ‘Rustom’ next month, has already begun shooting for a new film ‘Jolly LLB 2’. The film is a sequel to the 2013 National Award winning courtroom comedy drama Jolly LLB that starred Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani.
The ‘Airlift’ actor will be playing the role of a lawyer. Akshay took to Twitter to reveal his first look from the film, in which he is seen wearing a black coat and a small tilak on his forehead. He has an intense look on his face.
“New day with a new look for a new film, let the mayhem begin! #JollyLLB2 it is! Judgement day 10th February, 2017!” the actor posted on the micro-blogging site on Monday, July 18. He has also announced the release date of the movie on February 10 next year.
The film will be directed by Subhash Kapoor, who had also helmed by first part of the film. The sequel also features Saurabh Shukla who will reprise his role of the judge, besides Anu Kapoor as a rival lawyer.
Earlier in the day, Saurabh Shukla also tweeted about shooting for the film and posted a caricature poster of the film. “Started shooting JOLLY LLB 2,” he wrote.
The caricature features Akshay and Annu arguing with their fingers pointed at each other, while the 53-year-old actor is seated on the judge’s chair and banging his head with the mallet.
Akshay will be seen in the role of a Naval officer in ‘Rustom’ which stars Ileana D’Cruz opposite him. Directed by debutant Tinu Suresh Desai and produced by Neeraj Pandey, ‘Rusom’ is slated to release on August 12.
