John Trovolta wants to romance Deepika Padukone
Hollywood actor John Trovolta finds Deepika Padukone
amazing and he wants to work with the actress. He is all praises for the ‘Ram
Leela’ actress and said that he wanted to work with Deepika.
“I recently saw the Romeo and Juliet one film, ‘Ram- Leela’. In that the first
musical number was wow. I find Hindi films very original and full of life, it
captures your attention unlike any other film and it has a universal theme. I
am a big fan of Hindi films. I love the girl in Ram-Leela, (Deepika Padukone)
she is a amazing, she I great,” he said.
When asked whom would he like to work with in Bollywood, he said, "I liked the girl in Ram Leela. She is amazing. She is great. I've also watched 3 Idiots, Lagaan and Krrish."
John said that he like the music, singing and dancing part of Bollywood films and finds a “scarcity of these elements in Hollywood films”.
“I have always felt acting, song and dance should go in sync. I have always been more satisfied doing both,” Trovolta told a press conference here at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards.
“I feel Bollywood influence should be more because musicals in Hollywood are sporadic, they are rare the 50s and 60s had more…there is a scarcity. I wish people get more excited about musicals,” he said.
John is a huge fan of Bollywood movies. "I
liked Slumdog Millionaire which wasn't a Bollywood film but somewhat
reflects India. I recently saw Ram-Leela. I find Hindi films very
original and full of life, they capture your attention and have universal
themes, so yes I am a big fan of Hindi films," Travolta said at the
International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) 2014 here.
John Trovolta is seen with Priyanka Chopra’s debut music album ‘Exotic’ and he
found her brilliant. "The video Exotic was beautiful. Priyanka and
Pitbull were amazing and that exemplified what should be. I've always felt
acting, song and dance should go in sync. I've always been more satisfied doing
both. I wish people get more excited about musicals."
Trovolta added that he was in Mumbai a few years ago and he thinks actors in
Bollywood have an amazing script sense.
"Anil Kapoor and Aamir Khan are among few
actors I've interacted with. I think Bollywood actors have an amazing script
sense. I'm confident that they can help develop the connection between the two
industries," he added.
Explaining the difference between award ceremonies of the West and India, he
said, "I think an award like IIFA has a lot of credibility. In the West we
have several award ceremonies, and each claims to be bigger than the other. But
this ceremony of Bollywood is recognised internationally. I'm happy to be a
part of the grand celebration this year and hope we continue to build good
connections and keep making good movies."
Trovolta has bagged role in Shekhar Kapur's 'Paani' an who knows next film he might star opposite Deepika Padukone.
