Angry John Abraham storms out of ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’

John Abraham has stormed out of roast comedy show ‘Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza’, after host Krushna Abhishek took a dig at his acting skills. John was on the show to promote his upcoming film ‘Force 2’, along with co-stars Sonakshi Sinha and Tahir Raj Bhasin.

“Krushna ridiculed John’s acting skills and that did not go down well with him. He left the shoot and Krushna even went after him to apologise and pacify him but John did not relent. Thankfully, the major crux of the show was already shot as Krushna and Sudesh’s act is always the last,” a source from the channel told The Indian Express.

Speaking about the incident, Krushna told Bombay Times, “I was cracking jokes on his earlier films like Paap. That’s when he told me that those were his favourite films. Sometime later, when he refused to shake a leg with Sonakshi and me on stage, I realised that he was upset. He soon walked out and I ran after him, but he left. I want to apologise to him; I haven’t slept since the last few days because of this. I specially flew down from my shoot in Kulu Manali because John had agreed to be on the show. I hope he understands and forgives me.”

"John and I have known each other for many years now and he is the only Bollywood actor who called me when my father passed away recently. I am really sad that I upset him," the comedian-actor added.

‘Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza’ follows a roast format where the hosts joke about the celebrity guests. The jokes often get personal and below the belt.

Over a month ago, internationally acclaimed actress Tannishtha Chatterjee also walked out of the show, disappointed and angry, after the hosts made fun of her skin colour. She blasted the show in a strong worded-Facebook post saying it was not ‘roast’ but bullying. Even actors Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Dhawan, Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar have reportedly refused to promote their films on the show, due to the ‘offensive’ jokes cracked by the hosts  on the guests.
