Jiah Khan Suicide case: CBI searches Aditya Pancholi’s house

Jiah Khan’s suicide case is still not closed. After the case handed over to CBI by Bombay High Court on the plea of Jiah’s mother, Rabia Khan the investigation again started. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday run a raid on veteran actor Aditya Pancholi’s house to find evidences. Aditya Pancholi’s son Sooraj Pancholi dated Jiah Khan and the later actress’s mother claimed that he was responsible for her daughter’s murder.

During the search, CBI found articles and documents. CBI conducted search on three different locations. “Two of these premises belong to Sooraj while the third belongs to his father,” said a source. Officials discovered letters and CDs and some gifts from Sooraj’s closet. It was gifted to Sooraj by Jiah. The discs will be sent to the forensic department for tests. Last year too, CBI discovered some CDs from Sooraj’s residence which considered to be vital.

While Aditya and his wife Zarina live in Versova, Suraj lives in Juhu. "The CBI has collected gifts and cards that were exchanged between the two friends (Suraj and Khan) from our houses," said Aditya.

Jiah Khan’s case was handed over to CBI after Jiah’s mother Rabia Khan approached the Bombay High Court alleging Mumbai police is not carrying out the investigation properly.

Mumbai Police filed a charge sheet in a city court this year accusing Sooraj Pancholi of abetting the suicide, an allegation which was denied by the Pancholis.

In June, 2013, Jiah Khan was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her home when her mother and sister were away.  Jiah's mother Rabia, however, alleged that her daughter did not commit suicide and was murdered.
