Jhanvi Kapoor to debut with KJo’s ‘Sairat’ remake opposite Ishaan Khattar

Days after Sara Ali Khan’s big Bollywood debut was confirmed, here comes the confirmation of another star kid’s debut. It is none other than Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s elder daughter Jhanvi Kapoor.

Jhanvi is all set to make her debut opposite Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khattar. The duo will star in the Hindi remake of Marathi blockbuster ‘Sairat’, according to a report in DNA. Filmmaker Karan Johar has already obtained the Hindi remake rights of the Nagraj Manjule directorial that starred Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar.

According to the report, the remake film will be directed by Shashank Khaitan, while its music will be composed by Ajay-Atul who has also given the music for the Marathi original, which was a musical romantic drama.

Jhanvi and Ishaan are already bonding and the duo was recently spotted together at the special screening of Priyanka Chopra starrer ‘Baywatch’. Ishaan was seen driving the car, while Jhanvi was seated in the backseat. They were accompanied by a male friend. They were also spotted together during the special screening of Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan starrer 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' in March.

There have been several reports of Karan Johar launching Jhanvi and Ishaan with the remake of ‘Sairat’, and finally it seems to be coming true. However, it won’t be Ishaan’s maiden film as he is already making his debut with Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi’s ‘Beyond the Clouds’.

Jhanvi’s producer father Boney Kapoor was earlier quoted as saying, "Yes, Karan has been talking to us about a film for Jhanvi and we've given consent. But we don't know which project it would be. Since Karan has recently acquired the remake rights of ‘Sairat’ it is being presumed that our daughter would be launched in this project."
