‘Jazbaa’ to be an October release

Fans are eagerly waiting for the Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer ‘Jazbaa’. While the actress is busy shooting to make sure that she gives her best, her admirers are speculating the date for the release of ‘Jazbaa’. Now director Sanjay Gupta has ended this wait by announcing on Twitter, “Let the countdown begin! J A Z B A A releases October 9th, 2015” The filmmakers are planning to show the preview of the film at Cannes Film Festival this May.

Looking at the rest of the cast, one could definitely expect this upcoming action-drama to be a great one. Irrfan Khan plays a suspended cop. The actor had undergone a minor surgery, due to which the filming had been delayed. The shooting finally began early this year and Sanjay Gupta was the one to announce- “And the journey begins... Left home for first script reading of Jazbaa. God Bless my cast and crew”, he tweeted.

The former Miss World would be seen in the role of a lawyer. This is the first time in her career that she would be playing a lawyer. Moreover, this would be her first full-fledged action film. The director very well knows how eager people are to have a glimpse of Mrs. Bachchan on the sets of ‘Jazbaa’. When the filming began, he shared some photos of the actress on Twitter. She was seen with her hair neatly tied and sporting a black leather jacket. Gupta shared how he felt working with Aishwarya, “I’m sure some of you wanna know what it was like to shoot with ARB today. Putting it mildly, it was FAB. We’re on a roll & it’s a good one.” The director further expressed his happiness for working with the actress, “It is like any other actor for the first time. I never work with any actor for the baggage that they bring. Aishwarya is a fantastic actress and she will do justice to my film and the role.”

Yet another star is John Abraham, who has a cameo in the film. Though John would be seen for a short while, he is happy to have this opportunity, “I think Aishwarya and I will make a good couple. It’s a great script, Sriram is a good director and I am extremely excited about it.”  But John’s role hasn’t been revealed as yet and director Sanjay Gupta too is mum about this, “Yes we have roped in John for the film. However, I cannot comment on it right now.”
