Jamshedpur boy Abhishek Sinha wins ‘Boogie Woogie’

After three months of tough competition and hard work, finally the dance reality show, ‘Boogie Woogie’ has got its winner. Abhishek Sinha from Jamshedpur has been crowed the winner of the show. Apart from the coveted title and the trophy, he won the prize money of Rs.10 lakh and in addition to this he got Rs.one lakh sponsored by Horlicks.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan came to promote ‘Bhootnath Returns’ on the grand finale and he performed with the final contestants. Kick-started on December last year with 16 children from across the country, finally Abhishek, Aryan Patra, Sachin Sharma, Priyanka Tapaddar and Mohd Mumtaz made to the finale. It was a tough decision as all the contestants were equally good.

The top five contestants dance on Big B’s hit numbers and paid tribute to the megastar. The legendary actor was in awe of the talent and he commented, “I am speechless after seeing all of your dancing talent.” 

He later also shared on Twitter, “What astonishing and unbelievable acts of excellence from all. These finalists do an impersonation of my songs in my character clothing; so moving and humbling.”

Actors Varun Dhawan, Ileana D'Cruz, Nargis Fakhri, Jaccky Bhagnani, Shreyas Talpade and  Anu Malik, too came for the finale.

The grand finale also saw electrifying performances by the evicted contestants Urgen, Preetjyot, Bebechana and Harmi. Jaaved Jaaferi, Ravi Behl, Naved Jaafri judged the dancers for three months and TV actress Sargun Mehta hosted the show.

Ecstatic and overwhelmed with his win, Abhishek Sinha said, "I still can't believe that I won the coveted trophy. It still seems like a dream. I am thrilled at having been chosen the Boogie Woogie Kids Champion. All I can say is a big heartfelt thank you to the judges and the choreographers for loving me and helping me achieve my dream."
