Jacqueline credits Salman for reaching 1 mn followers on Twitter

Salman Khan is known as a benevolent figure in the film industry who is known to help out his industry colleagues with their careers. Many of today’s leading stars like Arjoon Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha had received support from Salman before embarking on a filmy career. Salman is also known to care very much for the ladies who work with him in his films. There are several instances when Salman has showered his co-stars with gifts just out of the goodness of his heart. The latest name in the list is the Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez. She has seen success only in multi-starrer films before working with Salman in the blockbuster ‘Kick’ which not only was her first big solo success but one of the biggest hits of recent years.

During the promotion of ‘Kick’ Salman appeared to be very fond of Jacqueline as he took her to parties, guarded her from overzealous fans during public appearances and even gifted her a new flat. Rumors began to circulate that the two may be more than just friends. But after the release of ‘Kick’ the two seemed to go separate ways. But recently Jacqueline has proved that she has not forgotten her benefactor.  She recently reached 1 million followers on social networking site Twitter and guess who she thanked for it? It was none other than Salman Khan. Jacqueline posted on Twitter, “1 million finally on twitter!!! I owe this one to Salman Khan.” Industry watchers believe that she is right in her declaration, as working with Salman gave her the most exposure she has received till date in her career. The stunning actress is currently shooting for the thriller ‘Roy’ along with Arjun Rampal and Ranbir Kapoor.

Salman’s praise of Jacqueline had reached such a level during promotion of ‘Kick’ that he compared her to the great Bollywood diva Zeenat Aman. Salman had told the media, “There is one actress whom I love a lot and that is Zeenat Aman and I feel Jacqueline is the one who will reach that stardom.” After hearing it Jacqueline had politely replied, “Now I am under tremendous pressure because he compared me to Zeenat Aman. I told him not to do it, not say that again.” But she also had added, “But that was the biggest compliment I have ever received in my life.” Salman also helped her to improve her Hindi diction during the making of ‘Kick’ and on Salman’s insistence, she dubbed for her role herself for the first time in her career.
