Jackie Chan lands in Mumbai to a traditional reception

Hollywood actor Jackie Chan arrived in Mumbai today to a traditional welcome. The Chinese origin actor is in India for a day to kick off India leg of promotions for the Indo-Chinese joint production ‘Kung Fu Yoga’. Sonu Sood, who co-stars and is a distributer of the film, was present at the airport to receive the 62-year-old star.

Jackie landed at the Mumbai international airport at around 11 am and was greeted in traditional style with aarti, tilak and garland. Thousands of fans thronged the airport to catch a glimpse of the ‘Rush Hour’ actor.

Jackie waved to the waiting crowd and also did a namaste for the photographers and his fans. He and Sonu also struck a Kung Fu pose for the shutterbugs. He is on a one-day visit to Mumbai, and has put up in JW Marriott. He will fly back to Hong Kong tomorrow.

Reportedly, Jackie will promote the action-comedy on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ and will shoot for an episode. Kapil Sharma himself announced on Twitter, writing, “Oh my god .. #jackiechanontkss.” The actor is also said to be meeting Sonu’s ‘Dabangg’ co-star Salman Khan over dinner.

Directed by Stanley Tong, ‘Kung Fu Yoga’ also stars Indian actresses Amyra Dastur and Disha Patani, and Chinese actors Eric Tsang and Aarif Rahman. The film is slated to hit screens on February 3.
