It's confirmed: ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ to go off-air

Kapil Sharma’s ill health and the show’s falling TRPs have lead the makers to take the show off-air. Ever since Ali Asgar and Sunil Grover quit the show, it drastically slowed down in respect of TRPs.

Though Kiku Sharda and Sumona Chakravarti squashed the rumour of the show going off-air, it is almost official that the popular comedy show, ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ is going off-air.

But the TV goers did not to be depressed because it is ascertained that the show will return after a hiatus with a change.

"The current format has run its course. Sunil Grover and Ali Asgar's departure and Bharti Singh and Chandan Prabhakar's entry are not the issue. We've realised that the entire show needs a revamp," DNA quoted a source as saying.

In March, Kapil Sharma entered into a mid-air brawl with Sunil and Ali and following which the duo walked out of the show. Meanwhile, Kapil has been shuffling between ‘Firangi’ shoot and TKSS and it took a toll on his health. He fainted couple of times on the set and following which the shoot had to be cancelled.

Well, the new format won’t lay stress on inviting stars to the set. The show would get a makeover and only time will tell with what changes it is coming to make the TV goers laugh again.
