Ishaan Khattar's ‘Beyond the Clouds’ poster launched at Berlin Film Festival


Shahid Kapoor’s younger brother Ishaan Khattar is making his acting debut with Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi’s ‘Beyond the Clouds’. The film was officially launched on January 23. The first poster of the film was recently released at the ongoing 67th Berlin Film Festival.

Ishaan shared the poster on his Instagram with the hashtags, ‘#beyondtheclouds #majidmajidi #berlinale #eyecandyfilms #zeestudios.’

The poster has the youngster standing on a vast marshland and looking at the numerous storks on the land and flying in the sky.

“This poster is Mr. Majidi’s vision for the film and his special showcase of India seen from his lens and sets the tone of the project, that the viewers can look forward to. We are excited about unveiling the first look of our film at Berlin Film Festival and hope that everyone there shares and partakes in our enthusiasm with their positive response,” producers Akash Chawla of Zee Studios and Shareen Mantri Kedia of Eyecandy films were quoted as saying.

The Oscar-nominated filmmaker Majid Majidi is making his foray into Indian films with ‘Beyond the Clouds’, which casts all fresh faces, including Ishaan. He had introduced Ishaan at a press conference during the film’s launch and called him a "wonderful boy" who is "extremely talented" and has a "bright future." He has also roped in Academy Award winning music maestro A. R. Rahman for the project, with whom he had previously collaborated for the 2015 Islamic epic ‘Muhammad: The Messenger of God’.

‘Beyond the Clouds’, which was initially titled ‘Floating Gardens’, is said to be a story revolving around brother-sister relationship. The film will have Ishaan playing one of the protagonists who is deeply connected to the ground and to the city. The will be shot across Mumbai and Jaipur.
