Injured Honey Singh is out of SLAM! The tour

The Badshah of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan is not keeping any stone unturned for promoting his upcoming mega budget film, ‘Happy New Year’. SLAM! The Tour is a series of concerts planned by Khan to promote the film globally. All the personnel attached with the movie are part of the tour. Yo Yo Honey Singh has done multiple songs in the film and has been a prominent member of the tour.

He performed with the team of ‘Happy New Year’ at Houston, then at New Jersey and finally in Washington DC but he won’t be able to perform in the remaining three shows on 26th, 27th and 28th September 2014. Apparently Honey Singh slipped and injured himself. This injury has forced him to opt out of the remaining concerts of the SLAM tour.

The spokesperson stated that, “We regret to inform you that Honey Singh unfortunately will not be able to perform for the Slam! shows in Chicago, Vancouver and San Jose dated Sep 26, Sep 27 and Sep 28 respectively since he slipped and has injured himself. Doctors have advised him complete rest."

Yo Yo Honey Singh has been a recent sensation in the Indian music scene. He has delivered one after another hit numbers in the recent past and is a craze among the youngsters. Therefore, this has been a huge disappointment for the fans of the rapper who purchased the tickets to see him perform live.

A close friend of the singer told that, "For the past two weeks, his blood pressure has been fluctuating erratically and he was advised strict medication and bed rest. Dropping out of the tours at the point would have meant huge losses for the organisers. And so, he accompanied SRK on the Slam tour."

Though the performance of Honey Singh will be missed at the venues of Vancouver, Chicago and San Jose; it is charismatic Shahrukh Khan who will lead from the front to make the concerts a success. He won’t let the chance of promoting the film to sag.

The film is a dream project for all as the director Farah Khan echoing the sentiment stated earlier during the film’s poster launch that, "My dream project Happy New Year takes another step towards realisation with the first poster being launched today. I believe in cinema that entertains and with a dream cast like this, we hope it will be the most entertaining film of the year. Shah Rukh and I have had a dream partnership always and with this our third collaboration we hope it will be a very Happy New Year indeed!"
