Inconsolable Aishwarya arrives at father’s funeral with Abhishek
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was spotted with husband and actor Abhishek Bachchan at the funeral of her father Krishnaraj Rai, who passed away on Saturday at Lilavati hospital. The funeral was held at the city's Vile Parle Seva Sansthan Shamshan Bhoomi on Saturday night. Dressed in white and seating at the back seat of the car, Aishwarya looks totally broken-hearted.
Krishnaraj Rai was suffering from cancer. Krishnaraj was admitted to the ICU for the past few days but his condition worsen with every passing days. Ash has been constantly by her father’s side during his last days. Abhishek Bachchan was also with his wife and his ailing father-in-law Krishnaraj. Many close ones visited Mr Rai at Lilavati.
According to Lt Gen V Ravishankar, who treated Krishnaraj said that he had lymphoma. He was admitted in the hospital for over a month.
"Mr Rai passed away around 4 p.m. in Lilavati hospital ICU," Ravishankar told IANS via a message.
As soon as the sad news was declared many celebs were seen at the funeral of Krishnaraj Rai. Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Randhir Kapoor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali were spotted.
Veteran actor Randhir Kapoor, Anil Ambani and his wife Tina Ambani, Mickey Contractor, Sonali Bendra and her husband Goldie Behl arrived at the funeral of Krishnaraj Rai. Raveena Tandon and her husband. Kunal Kapoor and his wife was also spotted attending Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father’s funeral.
