In pics: ‘FIR’ actress Kavita Kaushik’s haldi ceremony
The pre-wedding ceremonies of ‘F.I.R’ actress Kavita Kaushik kick-started and it begins with haldi ceremony. Kavita Kaushik, who will get hitched to beau Ronit Biswas on January 27th had an intimate haldi ceremony.
It was a totally private affair with the attendance of close family members and friends. Kavita looked beautiful yellow-pink lehenga. She has her hair tied up in a perfect bun while the groom chose a green kurta for the ceremony.
Few pictures from the haldi ceremony was surfaced on net and it shows the ceremony was attended by actor Aashka Goradia with her beau American beau Brent Goble. The ‘Naagin 2’ star recently got engaged to Brent and the couple plans to tie the knot by next year.
The bride and the groom danced while their friends played the 'dholak'.
The two will have a Himalayan wedding.
Kavita sent out an SMS to her close friends that read, “Hello, I have news to share. I’m getting married to my best friend Ronnit Biswas and starting a new life as Mrs Biswas on January 27. This is an impromptu call and decision taken two days back… You can also call it divine intervention (no, I’m not preggy). Now the main catch — we are travelling close to Kedarnath to a Shiv-Parvati temple and doing a simple temple wedding. There are no cards printed, no frenzy, no do’s and don’ts and no invites. I know it’s not possible to take all my family and friends up to the Himalayas in this weather, where it’s snowing and freezing and most roads closed, so just 15 of us are making this trip. I hope you understand and extend your love and blessings to us. On January 23 and 24, we will have the haldi and mehendi ceremony at home. Please walk in at your convenience… There will be food, games, shaadi ka ghar-type raunak. So do come home and be a part of this simple, sweet union. No gifts please, bring just love and more love. KkRon (sic).”
In an interview to a leading daily, Kavita spoke about her future partner. She said, “Ron and I share our love for Shiva, the Lord of destruction and the creator of life. I’ve experienced the destruction when everything was going wrong and collapsing around me and Ron gave me a new hope and new life. He saw the struggling woman behind the angry, manly Chautala and kept me alive and happy after my dad. For me, he is no less than Shiva in my life because he is my saviour. The place where we are getting married is the place where Shiva and Parvati got married, if legends are to be believed. Also, I love the mountains, have trekked a lot and I’m happiest when I’m doing that, so there is no other place for me more suitable than the Himalayas.”
In the past, the actress was in a relationship with actor
Nawab Shah but the couple drifted apart due to different religion. A few months
back the FIR actress was quoted by the leading daily, saying, “My
father has reservations because we belong to different religions. It’s really
sad that people are still caught in that web. Why do we have reservations about
another religion that it stops us from absorbing its goodness?”
