I'm really excited for her, Priyanka Chopra on Meghan Markle's pregnancy
Priyanka Chopra’s good friend and Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle is pregnant with her first child with Prince Harry and Priyanka Chopra is super excited for Meghan.
"I'm super excited. A few of my friends are having babies, so, this is that time, I guess - I'm having baby fever now." Priyanka told E! News. "I just have a few of my friends who are having babies right now and I'm like, 'God I need to catch up!'"
Priyanka Chopra shares a good rapport with Meghan and she attended The Royal Wedding in May.
Last year, Priyanka also famously defended Meghan Markle when a talk show host tagged Meghan just as "Prince Harry's girlfriend." Priyanka defended Meghan Markle by saying, "Also, Meghan Markle, actress, Suits, her achievements. Just saying."
According to a report, Priyanka and Nick will tie the knot on December 2. It will be a three-day grand affair in Jodhpur. The pre-wedding rituals will start from November 30th and will consist of 200 guests only.
On August 18, Priyanka and Nick had a traditional roka ceremony in Mumbai. Nick’s parents flown down to Mumbai to attend the ceremony. The marriage will be held on Umaid Bhawan in Jodhpur,
Madly in love with each other, the American singer-composer shared a new picture with his ladylove and captioned it “When the future looks oh so bright”.
Priyanka is also planning a grand bridal shower in New York, ahead of her Rajasthan wedding. “Since lot of Priyanka and Nick’s Hollywood friends are settled in New York, PeeCee is quite excited to have her bridal shower there followed by a grand wedding in Jodhpur,” the report said.
The ‘Baywatch’ actress has selected her favourite designer Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla’s designer attire for her wedding.
Says a source, “Priyanka and Nick will get hitched as per Hindu customs and the actress has roped in Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla to design her wedding lehenga. She met the designer duo on October 6 to finalise the designs. The meeting went on for 6 hours.”
Priyanka and Nick will have a traditional wedding. Priyanka’s mom Madhu Chopra wants a traditional wedding for her daughter.
“My daughter knew I wanted a roka before the marriage, so she never said ‘no’. I haven’t forced any of my thoughts on her, but I Rdefinitely want a traditional Indian wedding. That’s my only wish. I started the roka with a puja, which is important for me. I’m a modern mother but at heart, I’m quite conservative,” Madhu Chopra once said.
On the work front, Priyanka Chopra is currently shooting for Sonali Bose, ‘The Sky Is Pink’ co-starring Farhan Akhtar.
