I need Katrina in my life, says Ranbir Kapoor

It is highly reported that Ranbir Kapoor is faking his relationship with Katrina Kaif for the sake of ‘Jagga Jasoos’ but the Bollywood heartthrob put an end to such baseless speculations with a new remark about his ex-ladylove. In an interview with India today,  the ‘Barfi’ actor commented that Katrina is a very positive person and he needs her in his life.

When Ranbir was asked whether his changed relationship with Kat leads to the delay of ‘Jagga Jasoos’, Ranbir responded candidly, “Not at all. I have been working with Katrina since my third film - Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani. I really enjoy my creative partnership with her. The people that we are, we come with the intention to give the best to our work. I don't think we have every carried personal baggage to the set and that's the way it should be.

Films are an expensive medium. Its other people's time and money, there are hundreds of people who are dependent on you. And my relationship with Katrina, whatever has been said or written by the media or the conjectures, it has always been a very positive one. I don't think I can miss having her in my life. I need her in my life. She has such a positive influence on me, as a person and as an actor, and she'll continue being that. That's what it is. There is nothing like not talking to each other or not showing up. It was a lot of hard work not just by me but also by her. She is equally as important in the film as I am. She has stood by this film for three and a half years. She is like the producer of this film. I am very grateful for that partnership I have with her. I admire it”.

Ranbir also added that he enjoys working with Katrina and wants to do more movies with her. “Katrina’s and my creative partnership is something I don’t want to lose out on: I want to work with her in a lot of films.”

He said that ‘Jagga Jasoos’ is Katrina’s best ever performance. “You have never seen Katrina like this. Hers is such an endearing character, and whenever she is on screen, you will smile because of the things that are happening around her and the kind of energy she brought to the film. I have never seen her like this before, so I am waiting for the audience’s reaction to her performance.”

‘Jagga Jasoos’ directed by Anurag Basu is slated for July 14 release.
