I'm not leaving Bollywood: Aishwarya

Aishwarya RaiBollywood superstar Aishwarya Rai, who is all set to appear in two Hollywood productions, yesterday rejected suggestions of shifting from Indian film industry and said she is likely to star in two more films with her friend Vivek Obroi.
"I had not not asked for roles in Hollywood and other English films and my focus is still very much in Mumbai," Aishwarya Rai, who was here on a...
...promotional tour of her forthcoming film 'Kyon Ho Gaya Na' starring Vivek, told reporters.

There had never been any feelers to foreign filmmakers from my side, she said, adding, the screening of 'Devdas' at the Cannes film festival evoked interest and she was offered some scripts and she just gave them a chance.

"So far, I have done only one English film 'Bride and Prejudice' which is to be released later this year besides two other foreign films which will go on floors next year," she said, adding, her foray into Holloywood cinema was like the one she had with Bengali and Tamil film industry.

Sunday Times magazine of London had on August 2 reported that Aishwarya Rai was all set to make her debut in Hollywood with her signing opposite Meryl Streep in 'Chaos', shooting for which will start later this year. She will also appear in Oscar-nominated director Ronald Joffe's 'Singularity', a romantic drama.
