I do not aspire to achieve my dad’s super-stardom, Abhishek

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s mega-stardom is unachievable, feels his son and actor Abhishek Bachchan. Amitabh had a long successful tenure in Bollywood and he is still working and doing a great job. Recipient of Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan, Big B’s contribution to Indian cinema is commendable. In a career spanning over four decades, Big B has delivered numerous power packed performances.

"I do not aspire to achieve the super-stardom that my father has achieved... Nobody can or should aspire for that as it is not achievable.

"He (Amitabh) comes once in a lifetime, that's it. It is better to accept and move on. He is like sun... Make your own minuscule space under the sun," Abhishek told PTI.

Amitabh will be seen next in Bejoy Nambiar's ‘Wazir’ alongside Farhan Akhtar and Aditi Rao Hydari.

Abhishek is really amazed to see how his father is reinventing himself at this age.

"I haven't seen the film yet... I have seen the teaser and liked it very much. It is fantastic. Even at this age he has managed to reinvent himself and that is talent. He has always done wonderful films," Abhishek said.

The 39-year-old actor, who has completed 15 years in Bollywood, said he has learnt a lot from the failures in the showbiz.

"It has been 15 years and I have enjoyed and learnt a lot. I have learnt everything from my journey of 15 years. The journey should be educative.

"One should be receptive to learn from the success and more so from failure...How you deal with it (success and failure) matters as that is going to make a difference," the actor said.
