I blame myself for the split, Ranvir Shorey on break-up with Konkona

Ranvir Shorey and Konkona Sen Sharma announce their separation on Twitter after two years of married life. They filed for divorce mutually. "Irreconcilable differences" has been the reason of their break-up. In May this year, the news of their disrupt marriage blew up, they tried to reconcile things turned worsen beyond repairable to lead a happy married life together.

Konkona has moved to a separate apartment with her son Haroon. A source revealed, “Koko is living independently in an apartment in Andheri, with Haroon. Though Ranvir continues to stay in their apartment in Goregaon-Malad, he ensures spending time with their son.”

The source further added, “Koko and Ranvir tried to sort out their troubles to make the marriage work, but it looks like things were irreparable.”

Ranvir and Konkona tied the knot in a hush hush ceremony in September 2010. Before entering into matrimony, they were in a relationship for three years. On 15 March 2011, they were blessed with a baby boy. 

Konkona and Ranvir are reluctant to speak about their separation in public. Konkona had posted on a micro blogging site a while ago, “Ranvir and I have mutually decided to separate, but continue to be friends and co-parent our son. Will appreciate your support. Thank you.”

Now that both are busy promoting their respective movies, ‘Titli’ by Ranvir Shorey and ‘Talvar’ by Konkona Sen Sharma, Konkona maintained a dignified silence about her divorce but Ravir opened up.

At the press conference of his upcoming film ‘Titli’, when Ranvir was asked whether he still believes in the institution of marriage he said, “Yes, I do. I believe this question is coming from my recent separation announcement. But I don't blame the institution of marriage for anything. I blame myself for that.”

On being further asked whether he would remain single or get married again, he said, “Let's talk about ‘Titli’.”
