Hrithik’s ‘Bang Bang’ crosses 50 crore in just two days


Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif  starrer ‘Bang Bang’ kicks off with a flying start. Despite receiving mixed review, the film has managed to win the heart of the audience and the Navratri works wonder for the film’s good business. The five days at a stretch holiday for festival drag huge audience to the theatres in different parts of the country. In just two days of its release, ‘Bang Bang’ collected around 50 crore.

The film collected Rs 27.54 crores on the first day of its release, 2nd October Thursday and on the second day collected Rs 24.08 crore, totaling to Rs 51.62 crores at the domestic box office.

The male lead of the film, Hrithik Roshan is ecstatic with the film’s success. “That is so cool. Opening higher than a franchise film like ‘Krrish 3? and beating my own record is one way to realise my own growth and strength,” Hrithik said in a statement.

“But after that it is not about me. I am just glad I have been able to entertain my audience. And the entire credit for this humongous success goes to the whole star-cast, the entire crew and especially to the director Siddharth Anand. I stand here in gratitude,” the 40-year-old actor added.

‘Bang Bang’ clashed with Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Haider’ starring Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor at the box-office. ‘Haider’ was highly acclaimed by critics and audience. Though the film released in only 1250 screens across India, ‘Haider’ managed to collect Rs 6.14 crore on its first day of release.

‘Bang Bang’ was released in 5000 screens which is very large compared to ‘Haider’. Well, in the coming days both are film are expected to do an impressive box-office business.
