Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan – actors who fell prey to cybercrime

While internet is a blessing as it allows fans to keep in touch with their favourite stars, among other benefits, at times it becomes a curse for celebrities. Numerous celebrities have become victims of cybercrimes like hacking of social media and e-mail accounts, obscene mails to more serious ones like morphed pictures.

The nasty fight between Bollywood actors Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut over the past few months, was also apparently due to a case of such crime. There were legal notices, allegations and counter-allegations from both the parties. Kangana claimed that Hrithik had been interacting with her through e-mails. But the actor denied it saying that she was in fact, talking to an imposter who was operating with a fake e-mail ID created in his name. Hrithik had even filed an FIR in this regard and police traced the fake ID to a location in the US. The two actors eventually, decided to resolve the matter amicably.

Here are some other Bollywood celebs who became targets of cybercrimes.
