Hrithik, Parineeti, Jacqueline perform at Saifai Mahotsav

Like every year Saifai Mahotsav or Ranvir Singh Memorial Saifai Festival was organized in Etawa, Uttar Pradesh. This year it was held on Thursday, the 8th of January.  Etawa is the hometown of Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav, who is the current chief minister of the state.

History repeated itself this year as well; since, several of Bollywood’s biggest names attended the event. Hrithik Roshan, Jacqueline Fernandes, Sushant Singh, Richa Chadda, Boman Irani, Huma Qureshi and Parineeti Chopra all dazzled amidst the festivities. Singing sensation Arijit Singh was also present.

The event was hosted by two of the most versatile actors of Bollywood, Huma Qureshi and Boman Irani. The former was dressed in her gorgeous yet minimalistic Ridhi Mehra outfit. Parineeti Chopra danced to her hit numbers ‘Drama Queen’ and a song from ‘Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl’. She Looked spectacular all the while.

Bollywood’s heartthrob Hrithik Roshan danced to his hits from the past, namely ‘Ek pal ka jeena’ and ‘Bumbro Bumbro’. His mere presence set the stage on fire.  Jacqueline Fernandes looked absolutely stunning during her performance. She was dressed in a black outfit with beige and gold accents that made her look all the more glamorous.

Lisa Haydon was also seen performing. She was the one who added oomph to the festival. The renowned Shiamak Davar was also a performer who thrilled and amazed all the audiences present at Saifai Mahotsav 2015.

However, the most memorable performance was that of singer Arijit Singh. During other performances the audiences who were unable to occupy the available seats, had to make do with the large screens that were visible from outside the main tent. But, as soon as the singer started his live performance audiences were enraged at not being able to witness the melodious performance from within the tent. Chairs were thrown this way and that because everyone present wanted a closer look and seat.  Despite the commotion the show went on.

In the past actors such as Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit have graced the stage of this mega event and this year the event only got bigger and better. Akhilesh Yadav said last year “media should apologize to me and my father Netaji or Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav as I am only trying to promote tourism in UP”. The extravagance of the Saifai Mahotsav has been criticized repeatedly but the enthusiasm of audiences or Bollywood stars have never diminished.
