Hrithik-Kangana row far from over, investigation still on: Hrithik's lawyer

Contrary to reports that Mumbai Police has closed the case pertaining to Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut, due to lack of evidence, the ‘Mohenjo Daro’ actor’s legal team has informed that the investigation is going on and the case is far from over.

Hrithik’s team stated that reports claiming that the case has been dismissed are false, and claimed a section of the media, in collusion with rival Kangana’s lawyers, was spreading misinformation.

In a statement issued on Thursday, November 17, Hrithik’s legal team stated, “Media reports which suggest that the investigation into the Hrithik - Kangana emails is closed, are totally false. A section of the media in connivance with Ms. Ranaut's lawyer, have sought to disseminate this false information.”

The statement further read, “The investigation in fact continues and Mr. Saxena (Joint Commissioner of Police, Crime) has informed Mr. Mahesh Jethmalani, Senior Counsel advising Mr. Roshan that ‘the case is not yet closed. Investigation is still going on’.”

It also claimed that they had “unimpeachable evidence” that their client and the ‘Queen’ actress had absolutely no relation whatsoever.

“It is categorically asserted that there is unimpeachable evidence to suggest that there was no relationship of any kind between Mr. Roshan and Ms. Ranaut and that Ms. Ranaut persistently hounded Mr. Roshan on emails with the intention to entice him into a relationship,” the statement added.

The fracas between the ‘Krrish 3’ co-stars began earlier this year when Kangana hinted about her relationship with Hrithik when she called him her “silly ex” in an interview. Hrithik denied ever being in a relationship with the actress, and sent her a legal notice demanding a public apology. Their spat took an ugly turn after Kangana filed a counter notice, and Hrithik filing a complaint against an unidentified person, who was allegedly using his name while sending e-mails to the actress.

On November 17, a report in Mumbai Mirror claimed that the Cyber Police had closed its investigation with the Mumbai Police Forensic Department filed a ‘NIL’ report after being unable to establish any facts about the e-mail ID from which Kangana received the e-mails, which the actress claimed were sent by Hrithik.
